New Yorkers are thrilled to see Jodi Applegate’s face again. In mid-October, Fox News moved her back from Boston to host Good Day New York. The feeling’s mutual–Applegate says, “I’ve always loved New York.”
But, when they’re on and she’s out the door, she goes toe-to-toe with the best.
She’ll achieve this with an upcoming piece on home decorating, for example, which she and her husband love. With renovations in progress, “It’s tough to find your earrings and pantyhose at 4 a.m.!”
The early bird gets the fun anchor. The NYU alum is applauded for her quick wit and sensitivity to each story: “People can get their news anywhere. I try to make it better than it has to be.” She says that to be a Power Woman in TV news, “You have to be half a step ahead of your time. Offer something more than the headlines.”
